I am an art historian working on late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century British art and history of science. My focus is on women artists, ecology, alternative science, spiritualism, and occultism. I am currently Deputy Associate Director of Research at Durham University’s Centre
for Nineteenth-Century Studies International, and writing a book on the artist Evelyn De Morgan (1855–1919).
You can find Drawing Blood, my podcast about visual culture, the history of science and medicine, and the macabre, in all the usual places.
